5″ Shrinking Disc (Phenolic for Aluminum)
This is the innovative, safe-edge shrinking disc designed specifically for aluminum panels.
• Use this five-inch diameter shrinking disc on tight, confined areas of aluminum panels that larger discs can’t reach, ideal for precise surface control.
• This smaller disc complements, but does not replace, larger shrinking discs like our 9″ version.
• Designed for aluminum, this disc efficiently heats the surface, allowing for controlled shrinking when cooled with water, leaving the panel smooth and ready for finishing without the need for filler.
• I teach the proper use of all my shrinking discs, including this aluminum-specific version, in all of my sheet metal shaping classes.
• Mounts easily with a standard 7/8″ diameter (5/8 x 11 thread) autobody grinder flange nut. Adaptations for different thread sizes can be made with bushings or collars, and I offer assistance if needed. Sold worldwide.

This backing pad and threaded plate should only be used for the 5″ Shrinking Disc.
•I teach how to properly use my shrinking discs at all of my sheet metal shaping classes.
•Mount with standard 7/8″ dia. ( 5/8 x 11 thread) autobody grinder flange nut. To mount to a different thread or grinder stud size you will have to adapt a bushing or collar( very easy to do) I sell these all over the world.
